Graduations, Dances, Etc.

WELL, I would like to start off this post by officially announcing that I, Bryan Alderman am a Freshman in Highschool. After 8 years rising from Kindergarten to 8th grade at ICS, I have finally made it to highschool. I am actually on my second day as a ninth grader, even though I don't start school until August. Okay no more on that because as well as my first day as a ninth grader, yesterday was also a couple of other things. It was my first day of SUMMER BREAK!!!! I am so excited to be on summer break that I am about to jump out of my seat right now. I can't wait for the trip to the beach and youth group camp and every other exciting thing that I am doing this summer. The thing I am most excited about is just not having any school that I am forced to do. So yesterday was our last day of school and it was alot of fun. Although it was in the plan for the first half of the day to be acedemic, we pretty much just hung out and talked to our friends the whole time. Then we had lunch and came back up for more time to hang out. This part was pretty cool because for once in our middle school lives, our teachers didn't really care what we did. We all had our Ipods out right in front of them and they just kept on doing what they were doing. It was AMAZING!!!! So then we went down to the sanctuary for our graduation. My parents, Ben, and Grammy came, however my dear sweet Aunt Dana could not make it this time due to a strange incident. She said that she was getting out of car when she was hit by a bus on I-4... OUCH!!! But she had a miraculous recovery today and was able to make it to Aubrey's graduation. I'm not believing it but you might (sorry Dana :) ). We then went through a 30 minute process where they called off our names, gave us an award or two, and said a few words about us. After that we went into the fellowship hall and had cake and stuff. After that everyone went home and got changed or whatever and then came back for the Eigth Grade Dance. This was so much fun. Almost everyone was just dancing like there was not even such a thing as embarrasment... especially me. :). But yeah it was a blast and I hope that the highschool dances are even more fun. Well after my graduation last night I had the privelege of going to Aubrey's graduation this morning (No, I didn't get hit by a bus) and that was really fun. The class was really cute and their songs and dances were AMAZING!!! Well that's all the graduation stories I have for now. In 1 year I can post about Robbie's Highschool Grad. AND THEN IN 3 YEARS AFTER THAT I WILL POST ABOUT MY OWN HS GRADUATION AND BEN'S 8th GRADE GRADUATION!!!! YIPPEEE!!!! L8ER

Comments...

Okay, we have recently detected a virus found in comments left on random posts.  These viruses will provide you with a fake virus software that tries to convince you to purchase the software by telling you you have like 150 viruses.  First off, do not listen to it.  After looking around on blogger, I have found a couple things that could help us.  You might not want to do it, because it does require a little bit of extra work.  If you go to the dashboard, click help at the top.  Then at the bottom click contacting support.  Then go to the bottom of that page where it says Need to contact our support team and click on "bugs".  Then click comments/backlinks.  Next you click preventing unwanted comments and comment spam.  After that, I believe that options 4 and 5 would work, 5 being better but requiring a little more work.  I only believe 4 would work because Daniel's blog has it and he has not found a virus on his yet.  I am going to try these options for my blog so I'll let you know how it works out.

Washington D.C.

On March 27th through the 31st, I took a class trip to our nation's capitol- Washington D.C. It was a really really fun trip and I had a great time seeing all the sites and enjoying the history of our country. I was actually priveleged to fly up there (PRAISE THE LORD!!!), beacause last time we drove and it took maybe... 16 hours. Anyways, most students had to take their parents (well I shouldn't say HAD, but most of them got mad at their moms... I wouldn't have :>), but my mom stayed home and I stayed with a friend from school. So on Thursday, (yes this was a school day but we got to miss it AND Friday) we flew up their on Southwest Airlines to Dulles International Airport. This was outside of the city so we had to take a bus, and a metro to get to get to our hotel. That night we pretty much just hung out the hotel. The next day, we went to the Supreme Court building which was pretty cool even though we didn't stay for long. Later that day we went to the Capitol building. This was my second time, and I loved it just as much as the first time. The building's architecture is very amazing and it is probably the coolest looking building in DC, but it's also amazing to think of all the history that took place there... as is cool with every other building in DC. I also believe we went to the Air and Space museum which of course was cool to me because I want to be a pilot. On Saturday, we went to have a tour of the White House. It was really cool, but we had to stand outside in 40 degree weather until we went inside. Unfortunately we only got to see about 7 rooms and couldn't go in there. However, it was still awesome. Then we went to see Arlington Cemetery which was sad because of all the graves just lined up, that represent each soldier who died to protect our freedom. After that we returned t our hotel and sat around playing cards and other things. The next day was my favorite. First off, we went to the Holocaust museum, which was said to be the finest one in the world, but it was very very sad. It was awful to see human beings like us being treated like they were by Hitler. Then we went back to the hotel, and played cards again worked out swam, and so on. Then we went back out for a night tour of all the monuments and memorials. This was my favorite part about the trip because I got alot of good pictures and it was AMAZING to see the stuff at night. My favorite was the WORLD WAR TWO memorial. I got some amazing pictures, but unfortunately I have no idea how to get them on blogger so... you have to come over to see them. Well that is all for this one, and that was an amzing trip and I can't wait to go back.

The Big Number 40

Well I am proud to announce that this is post number FOUR ZERO for Bryan... That's right, about a year of blogging... I think and Bryan has 40 posts! Really the only point of this post is to reach that humber. I got sick of looking at 39 posts... so I just decided to make a post about nothing in order to gain my 40th. In other related news, Robbie, Audrey, Daniel, and well everyone else NEEDS a new post. Dana, however, is posting maybe once a week which is a good rate. And the funny thing is, they are actually good posts unlike me who just posts to get bigger numbers. Well anyways good job Dana and oh, congratulations on completing the 5K, I would probably have died after the first 5 minutes. And oh yes. One more thing, I wanted to inform you all that I went on to county science fair after tying for first at my school fair, and ended up WINNING county. I now move on to the state competition so pray that I won't make too much of a fool of myself. Well that's all for now. Good 40th post huh?

March Madness '08

Dana, I am truly sorry, but it is one of those times again when sports are the most important thing to post about (like the beginning of football season). As sad as this might be for you, it marks one of the most exciting times of the year for me. However you shouldn't have to hear too much argument this time because Robbie and I are both Blue Devil fans and Daniel's team I don't believe is doing too well. So anyways the NCAA tournament will start soon and I'm really hoping that Duke can pull it off this year. First though, I can't wait for the Duke vs. UNC game at Duke. I really hope Duke wins, but if they do, I'm worried that they will have trouble beating UNC in the tournament. I hope they can prove me wrong but that would be amazing if they beat UNC all three times this year (if they play in the tournament). So Go BLUE DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dana, once again I'm sorry that this post will bring about arguments and nothing but sports for quite a while. AND OH YEAH... PLEASE LET ME HAVE MORE THAN 5 COMMENTS ON THIS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Ithink everyone... with the exception of Dana should do another post like this telling who they think is going to win the NCAA championship. GO DUKE!!!!!!!!!!!

I Could Have Done This... If I Wanted To.

I know I promised I would post about the Amway Arena and haven't done it yet so I will tell about that first off. It was alot of fun. We left our highschool at 10:45 in the morning and arrived about 45 minutes later at the Amway Arena (just for general knowledge, the Amway Arena is where the Magic play basketball and alot of other things. Concerts, arena football, hockey, you know). We then headed inside and stepped onto the court. It was so different being ON the floor instead of the "O-zone" (top of the stadium), but it really messed my shot up. Instead of seeing a hoop and then 5 feet later a white wall, we looked for hundreds of feet into empty seats. So then we went into one of the locker rooms and it was probably a reasonably small one compared to what the Magic use. But then we went back out onto the court and warmed up. Soon we began the game and we stayed with the other team for a while. I actually got in probably more than any other eighth grader (I'm not to sure why but okay... Hey, I was happy). It was soo much fun. I even got to play with Robbie for a little while so that was cool. Especially when we both double teamed and trapped a kid in the corner and forced the ball out of bounds. GO ME... and ROBBIE TOO!!!!! So anyways it was a lot of fun even though we ended up losing. Then we came back and watched the Magic take down the Heat. It was AMAZING. Well that's all for that.

In other related news JV finsished up our season last night playing against a team who was really good and had 15 players who were all very good against our 7 who are also all very good. Not to mention 2 of ours were sick (1 missed the game because of it the other came) and 2 of our best players fouled out. It wasnt good but we still finsished with an amazing season and the best in ICS history... 12-6 was our final record. I really can't wait for next season.

Don't Get Happy Because I Have a New Post

Pretty much the title sums up this post... I have had nothing interesting happen to me in a little while, so there is nothing to post about. So that's pretty much the reasoning behind this post. This is basically just a post to say why i havent posted in a while. Meanwhile i have been commenting and overloading robbie's blog to make him post. In other completely random news JV is now 12 and 5 and we have our last game on Friday... sad story. But then most of us will move up and play Varsity for the rest of the season. I will be posting on something interesting Thursday or some time later than that because Wednesday night I have a basketball game at the Amway Arena (the Magic's stadium) and I might post about it. Well that's all for now. Sorry to get your hopes up.
